Course Description

The 2-day course for Adobe Photoshop is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills for photo adjustment and retouching and to create original or composite artwork. This course is deigned for graphic artists, electronic publishers, photographers, web designers or anyone with an interest in image manipulation.

Learning Outcomes

At the completion of this courseware participants will be able to:

• Cropping, scaling, rotating, flipping images
• Use your basic photo adjustment skills, including: adjusting total ranges, removing colour casts
• Altering colours in an image
• Sharpening images, removing imperfections and unwanted objects.
• Apply a variety of artistic effects to your photo images.
• Create original artwork using Adobe Photoshop’s painting and editing tools.
• Make and work with selections and masks and layers to apply adjustments to isolated sections of an image.
• Understand file formats and colour modes.
• Create composite images by combining and altering images from different sources.

Pre-Requisites

No prior knowledge is assumed in this course. However, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP is desirable.
