Introduction to Microsoft Cloud Computing


Course Description

This one-day instructor-led is intended for IT professionals who are interested in expanding their knowledge base and technical skills with an understanding of the Cloud and Microsoft Cloud Products such as Azure, Office 365, One Drive and InTune. In this course, students learn high level terminology, structure, security, deployment and migration practices as well as the general scope of Microsoft Cloud product offerings.

Audience

This course is intended for both novice and experienced IT professionals and managers of IT professionals who have basic Windows navigation skills and want to get started using cloud resources and products.

Prerequisites

  • basic understanding of networking concepts
  • basic Windows knowledge
  • basic understanding of security concepts such as authentication and authorisation.

On completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • describe and understand the types of Cloud Infrastructure and Types of Cloud Services.
  • understand how to utilse Cloud systems.
  • describe Cloud infrastructure technologies such as LDAP, X.500, E.509 and SSO in Microsoft environments.
  • understand SLA agreements and change management in the cloud.
  • describe security and Privacy considerations, Priviliged User Access, Regulatory Compliance, Investigative Support, Data Segregation, Recovery, Long-Term Viability and Transfer of Data.
  • understand the fundamentals of PKI and Digital Signing.
  • describe Cloud authentication and Authorisation techniques.
  • understand the roles of Microsoft Azure, Office 365, One Drive and InTune.
