Description:

In this course, you will obtain an understanding of how to create, manage, and maintain the Linux Filesystem.Students should have up to 24 months of professional computer support experience, preferably involving 6 to 12 months with Linux.

Objectives:

  • In this course, you will acquire the skills needed to install and support one or more distributions of the Linux operating system, and learn information and skills that will be helpful as you prepare for the CompTIA Linux+ certification examination, 2005 objectives (exam number XK0-001).

  • Browser Apple Safari 2 (or higher)
  • Operating System Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7

  • Processor Macintosh Intel-based or PowerPC G4 (or better)
  • RAM 512 MB (1 GB or more recommended)
  • Internet connection 256K (broadband recommended)
  • Adobe Flash Player 8 (current version recommended)
  • Adobe Reader 7 (or higher)
