The Linux System Administration: LPI Certification (2009 Objectives) certification course, developed to cover LPI exams LX0–101 and LX0–102, builds on your existing user-level knowledge and experience with the Linux operating system, to present fundamental skills and concepts that you will use on the job in any type of Linux career.This course is intended for entry-level computer support professionals with basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems, who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of Linux concepts and skills to prepare for a career in Linux support or administration, or to prepare for LPI exams (Exam Codes: LX0–101 and LX0–102). A typical student in the LPI Certification course should have at least 6 to 12 months of Linux experience.

Objectives:

  • In this course, you will acquire the skills needed to configure network and Internet services on a Linux system and secure a Linux system from external threats. The information and skills covered in this course will be helpful as you prepare for the LPI exams (Exam Codes: LX0–101 and LX0–102).

  • Other requirements may apply to supplemental offline activities. Omitting these optional activities does not affect course completion.
