Oracle8i: Architecture and Administration (For Use with Screen Readers)


This course is designed to accommodate end-users who use assistive technology tools (screen readers, for example) to access the course content. The course was designed to work with JAWS® for Windows® screen reading software. This course will give you an introduction to Oracle8i: Architecture and Administration.


  • In this course, you will be introduced to the responsibilities of a database administrator (DBA), the underlying architecture of the Oracle database server and the essential tasks required to manage databases, such as how to startup and shutdown an Oracle instance, the components that comprise a database, practice creating a database, importing data into its tables, and securing the database, how to troubleshoot real-life scenarios that could occur.
