Oracle Database 11g: Administration Workshop II


Database administration is a task that is dynamic in nature. Growing organizational needs require complex data management. As a DBA, you are often posed with challenges of tackling increased resource consumption, deteriorating system performance, lack of memory, and imperiling loss of data. Oracle database 11g comprises many features that allow you to manage database memory, tune the system for optimum performance, restrict resource usage, handle effective data backup and recovery, and prioritize jobs effectively.

  • In this course, you will use Oracle 11g to manage system storage and memory allocation. You will also test and implement various backup and recovery strategies to secure the data in your database. In addition, you will tune database performance, diagnose database health, and administer the scheduler.
