Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning (Edition 1)


As a database administrator, it is mandatory that your database system meets heavy workload demands while maintaining performance. Oracle Database 11g provides various tools that utilize efficient tuning methodologies, and they operate based on effective tuning goals to meet performance demands. These tools allow you to monitor performance, diagnose issues, and tune common SQL related and instance related performance issues.

  • In this course, you will utilize database advisors and Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) based tools to proactively tune an Oracle database. You will also diagnose and tune common SQL-related performance issues and common instance-related performance issues. In addition, you will also use the Enterprise Manager performance-related pages to monitor an Oracle database.
