There may be instances when you need to retrieve specific data or protect the sensitive information in your database by restricting access to it. By controlling privileges at the object and system level, creating indexes, altering schema objects and by creating and querying external tables, you can perform effective data management and speedy data retrieval. This course is intended for students and application developers with basic SQL skills. Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals II in combination with Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I enables you to meet the certification objectives of the exam Oracle Database 11g: Introduction to SQL.

Objectives:

  • In this course, you will control privileges at the object and system level, create indexes and constraints, and alter existing schema objects. You will also create and query external tables, use the dictionary views to retrieve metadata and create reports about their schema objects. You will also manage data in various time zones and also use regular expressions in queries for data manipulation and management.
