Planning for 2007 Microsoft® Office System Client Deployment (5232)



In this 2-hour course, you learn how to plan for deploying the 2007 Microsoft Office System in your organization. You learn about the benefits of the new Microsoft Office System File Format, as well as how it differs from previous formats. Additionally you learn about various tools you can use to analyze your current environment and migrate existing Office documents. In the lab, you use these tools in a migration scenario.

This course helps you prepare for exam 70-624.

Student prerequisites:

  • Experience deploying, managing, and supporting either Windows® client systems or Office System technologies.
  • Familiarity with standard client and application deployment methods, such as RIS, imaging, and SMS.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory® directory service.
  • Familiarity with the 2007 Office System and Windows Vista™.
