Running Microsoft® Windows®€“Based Hosted Services (5241)



In this online learning course, you will see how you can use MPS provisioning tools to configure customer accounts and the services that they require. This course also describes the types of service plans that you need to create for customers and the process to create these plans. Additionally this helps you prepare for the certification exam 70-501.

Student Prerequisites:

  • 3+ years of experience managing a Microsoft Windows-based network.
  • An MCSE on Windows Server 2003 credential or equivalent knowledge.
  • Knowledge equivalent to that taught in Course 2576.
  • Familiarity with operational best practices such as those described in the Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • The ability and experience to troubleshoot the following:
    • IIS
    • Active Directory
    • Security
    • Network storage
    • Infrastructure


  • Describe how to provision customers.
  • Describe the methods used to provision hosted services.
  • Describe how to provision hosted services by using MPS
