Detecting intrusions, preventing them and blocking unauthorized access can be performed using firewalls and other network monitoring tools. When a firewall is properly configured, it acts as a checkpoint and prevents threats from unknown users. Understanding the importance of firewall and other intrusion detection systems will help you increase the security of your network.


  • In this course, you will explore the basics of firewalls, and monitor the security infrastructure using intrusion detection and prevention systems and honeypot.
