XML: DTD and Schema Development

Description:

Working with a lot of information is inevitable for small and enterprise web applications. You know that XML is platform independent, more flexible than databases and is the right choice to store and access huge amounts of data for web applications. However, there are situations where we need to create similar structured XML documents for use in web applications. DTDs and Schemas are like molds that give structure to XML documents. To structure the XML documents, DTDs and Schemas have an extensive collection of tags and attributes that pose conditions on XML such as where a particular tag can appear, what tags are allowed inside a tag, and what attributes a tag can and must possess. At the end of this course, you will be able to create DTDs, Schemas, modular DTDs, and modular Schemas to control the use of tags and attributes in an XML document. This course also enables you to create Schemas that restrict the values in XML tags and attributes. This course is intended for both entry-level XML developers and entry-level XML analysts.
